Here’s what we’re known for.

How we work
We stay hands-on.
The same small crew is on your project from start to finish. When a job calls for a specialist, we bring in trusted subcontractors and oversee their work ourselves.
We explain as we go.
You shouldn’t have to guess what’s happening in your own house.
We’re honest.
If something isn’t worth doing or will cost more than it should, we’ll tell you.
No surprises. That’s the point.
Before we start, you’ll know what’s included, what it costs, and what could change. If we open a wall and find something unexpected, we stop, show you, and explain your options and the cost. Nothing moves forward until you’ve agreed to it.

Remodeling FAQ
Remodeling is a big decision, and it’s normal to have questions. Here are the ones we hear most. If yours isn’t here, just ask.
Getting started
-
Estimates are free, and they start with a phone call. You tell us about your project and send photos, and we’ll give you a close idea of the cost from there. If it looks like a good fit for both of us, we’ll set up a visit to see the space and put together a detailed written estimate. Your written estimate lays out the payment schedule before any work begins. Starting with a call saves you time and gets you real numbers faster.
-
It depends on the size of the space, the materials you choose, and how much needs to change behind the walls. Moving walls, plumbing, or electrical adds to the cost. After we talk through your project, we’ll give you a clearer picture and tell you where costs can add up and where you can save.
-
Sometimes it will be, and that’s usually because of what’s included. We price the whole job, including the parts you won’t see: waterproofing behind the tile, repairing rot or damage instead of covering it up, and the time to explain every step. If two estimates are far apart, it’s worth asking what each one covers. We’re happy to walk through ours with you so you can compare fairly. And we stand behind the work with a one-year workmanship warranty.
During the project
-
Every project is different. Timelines depend on the size of the space, how much structural work is involved, and how long materials take to arrive. Your written estimate includes a realistic timeline before any work begins.
-
Usually, yes, especially for a bathroom or a single-room project. Kitchens are more disruptive, so most families set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house. We keep work areas sealed off from the rest of your home, and we’ll talk through what to expect before we start.
-
Our crew. When a job calls for a specialist, we bring in subcontractors we know and trust, and we oversee their work ourselves. You’ll know who’s coming and when.
-
We check in regularly with a quick call or text at the end of each day or week, so you’re never left wondering. Questions are always welcome, and you won’t have to chase us for an answer.
-
It happens, especially when opening up a kitchen or bathroom: water damage, outdated wiring, or framing issues that weren’t visible. If we find something, we’ll stop, show you, and explain your options and what they’d cost. Nothing moves forward until you’ve agreed to it.
Permits and warranties
-
Yes. When your project needs permits, we take care of them and schedule the inspections, so you don’t need to deal with the county. Everything we do is built to code.
-
We stand behind our work with a one-year workmanship warranty. If something isn’t right after we finish, call us and we’ll make it right.
-
Yes. TruQuality is a Class A licensed contractor in Virginia (License #2705131992) and carries insurance. Class A is Virginia’s top contractor license class, and we’re still a small, family-run crew. We’re happy to provide documentation.
